i spent most of my time at lake tahoe! but reno ended up being a treat, especially the nevada museum of art

they've an upscale building and obviously take photography very seriously. it dominated the shows, especially the ariel landscapes of michael light and the often humorous desert shots of terry falke.
one thing i learned there: it pays to print your pictures larger, if possible. thinking about it, even an eight and a half by eleven would be considered almost a miniature in painting. the larger prints allow you to wander around in them and make them feel more like 'art.'
