I see an SL Edition Hermes in your futureI like to buy beautiful things - if forced to use something whose design aesthetic is less than beautiful - I feel cheated and abused.
Here you go:If a red dot can turn me into a better photographer, even if it's because it gives me the "confidence" to be bolder, put me down for three please!
Perfect! My pics suck, will they make me a better photographer?
Peter,OK I know I'm going to get smashed in hr for saying this...
Aw, come'on Jorgen. My F is sniffling now. ]'-)...
So I stay with my ugly Nikons, and the images I make with those are probably just as good or bad as those that I would have taken with the übercamera.
Ah... but there are some pretty Nikons around too, Godfrey; The F6, the F3 and earlier, the F6, the D2X... did I mention the F6?Aw, come'on Jorgen. My F is sniffling now. ]'-)

F5 and F6 are my Nikon favorites from a design perspective, Pininfarina did a great job there. Nowadays they are... less pretty.Ah... but there are some pretty Nikons around too, Godfrey; The F6, the F3 and earlier, the F6, the D2X... did I mention the F6?
F2AS (Black) was my favorite. I later "settled" for the F3HP (after saving for 4 years, lol) because I couldn't afford the F2 as a 12-year old.F5 and F6 are my Nikon favorites from a design perspective, Pininfarina did a great job there. Nowadays they are... less pretty.
Yes, you did mention the F6 ... But I have to make the F feel better and do a beauty shot or two of it tomorrow.Ah... but there are some pretty Nikons around too, Godfrey; The F6, the F3 and earlier, the F6, the D2X... did I mention the F6?
The F4 and F5 didn't appeal to me so much from a design perspective, but the F6 is simply outstanding in every particular. It is only in the context of how nice the F6 is that the D750 seems a little disappointing, despite how good a camera it is by itself.F5 and F6 are my Nikon favorites from a design perspective, Pininfarina did a great job there. Nowadays they are... less pretty.
Giugiaro... it's Giorgetto Giugiaro and his team at Italdesign who design the Nikon SLR cameras, or at least the top models, since the F3.F5 and F6 are my Nikon favorites from a design perspective, Pininfarina did a great job there. Nowadays they are... less pretty.
Right... a bit of a brain salad there. Thanks for correcting me.Giugiaro... it's Giorgetto Giugiaro and his team at Italdesign who design the Nikon SLR cameras, or at least the top models, since the F3.
Here's a more recent Nikon camera from Italdesign:

...and their little brother (or sister, if you prefer) Nikkormat, simple lines and solid built.Looking at the pictures of the voluptuous, overdesigned F4, F5 and F6 makes me long for my old F (but not the FTN)....
