After the camera is opened up the AA filter removal is straightforward. In SLRs you must replace it with the same thickness of optical quality glass or it wont AF, with cdAF I have no idea. Theres a thread or two around about turning E420/E330 into IR capable camera etc, PM me if needs be.That's fine, will you do it for free? :ROTFL:
Seriously, Vivek did you document the operation? It would be very interesting to see what you had to go through!
What's the difference between removing the AA filter/CFA filter for IR and the MM? does the MM have an IR filter over the sensor?
Cheers
Brian
A lucky shot in the backyard today of stalwart dog Taxi, 12 and diabetic.
Panasonic G3 w/200mm Pentax f4 (wide open or maybe f5.6) shot 1/500 at iso 400.
I used a tilting Pentax/m43 adapter so that there is a diagonal (fore-and-aft) range of sharpness from her jowls to her eyes and eyebrows. The nose and surrounding area pokes through The Cone of Scheimpflug so has been sharpened separately to try to match in-focus areas better.
Process and monochrome conversion in Capture One.
Thanks Bill, but she’s a she! Twelve years old and now diabetic, Taxi remains alert and playful (Kelpie-Ridgeback X), and understands me pretty well; I have had her since birth. What a wonderful face! His eyes are so expressive.

It’s nice to go back to older files and rework them—since buying into C1 I have gone back 4 to 5 years to revisit old memories.
I've been wandering through some of my older unprocessed exposures again.
Thanks for looking. Comments appreciated.
