Sorry to bring up a well trodden topic afresh - but all the old posts are long and rambling.
Face and eye detection.
The manual says that you wait til the camera detects a face with a white box. Then pressing the shutter the focus is set and the box goes green, maybe also detecting an eye with a green box.
I see the green box and the green eye box.
Snag is they disappear and I am left with a white box.
Some thread somewhere said the green box is still there but it is hidden under the white one. If that is the case it is not a lot of use - or is it?
Maybe I misread the manual. Maybe my camera is set wrong.
