This special edition Leica M6ttl was commissioned by the LHSA to be built in the year 2000. Only 600 of the .72 finder models were made. This is considered by many, myself included, as the prettiest Leica ever made. The camera was seen by DAG within the last year. The camera functions like new, with smooth winder, accurate shutter speeds, crystal clear viewfinder, accurate and bright rangefinder. Cosmetically, the camera has brassing on the edges as shown and some light sign of use in the way of tiny nicks, etc. The camera has had a few professionally installed upgrades, the silver frame counter was replaced with a black one, the shutter speed dial was replaced with a larger knurled edge one, like you'd find in the ala carte menu, and the battery cover was replaced with a coin slotted metal cover. The base plate has a black colored protector installed, the edges of the base plate have some brassing, under the protective cover it is pristine. The sale is for the body and a body cap only, no lens, no strap, and no soft release that are shown, no box or other items either. Selling to get some cash for other toys, I have an M7 that gets more use than this but this is much more fun to hold and use, of course.
