If you're looking at this posting you know what you're shopping for - the best 85mm lens ever produced in terms of both optics and haptics (those Otus focus mechanism are pure bliss).
The only complaints were 1) the weight, which we can't help you with (consider it suffering for your art) and 2) the price - which we can help with.
Hesitant on selling, but after debating adding more Otus glass vs. adding medium format gear, we've decided to add Hasselblad H series to our locker for slower work. Thus, it makes no sense to relegate such a fine lens to occasional or backup use when we already have a bevy of Zeiss & Nikon glass.
The 85mm Otus was also tested by Ming Thein and others on the Hasselblad X1D with stellar results if there are any X1D users out there.
This copy is pristine save for some typical slight signs of use on the rubber focus ring and one paint rub mark on the barrel paint about the size of the tip of a small pencil -likely from a tether cord. Originally thought it was a dusk speck.
Glass perfect, no discernible dust. Just used in studio. Purchased new from a well known UK Zeiss retailer.
Comes with lens, hood, caps, box and a Lee Filters 86mm adapter and a PortaBrace padded lens cup/case. Can add a second PortaBrace cup in lieu of the filter adapter if buyer not a Lee user.
US$3200 price includes insured shipping by XpressPost within Canada. Payment in person, by EMT or PP (add 3.5%).
