It doesn't mean coding milling but does mean that the bayonet is swapped (by Zeiss) so that the lens triggers the correct frame lines for hand-coding. The bayonet swap, itself, is official and thus does not void one's warranty.I was wondering because Popflash.com sells them "prepped for the M8" and I was wondering what that entailed beyond having pits milled for coding (which John Milich can do for much less).
Hi Carlos,Yes, but where does one get an "official" flange?
Roger:Ok here is the thread. contact info ,part numbers etc. let us know if this is still valid. When you get the flange you can of course still send it to John for milling. I am going to try some hand coding on my 18 before I send the flange to him. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/20663-zeica-21-2-8-a.html
