    It seems to me that the lack of three color channels in the MM for a black and white conversion would be a serious loss in creative black and white images. The same for the rumored Sony version. Basically trading tonal controls for resolution. Would someone familiar with both comment on this?

    Bower 8mm f2.8 fisheye $299 at B@H

    B&H has reduced the price of the Bower Fisheye to $299. The Samyang/Rokinon/Bower are all the same lens with a different name. I have no experience with the others but my copy of the Bower is well built and seems to work well.

    This is certainly true as many of us wait for the much needed improvement to the firmware of the NEX7. They seem to have no contact with photographers.

    True, but it was rated an SR5 or almost certainly correct so odds are very good. Hopefully it is good, compact and affordable.

    This sounds like a great and obvious direction. I think they will sell a ton if the quality is there and the price is reasonable. This would finally make the Nex 7 a walk around pocketable-ish camera with an autofocus. Should become the kit lens. I have been using mine happily with a 35...

    Jono I have enjoyed you postings and images. I am curious about your relationship with your NEX 7. I believe I recall you were unhappy with it and sent it back at one time but obviously this has changed. Would you share your feelings about this? Thanks Joe
