Can I change the function of the joystick in playback mode on Fuji GFX 100s?

I cannot seem to find this in the manual or anywhere online, but I would like to change the function of the “press” function on the joystick when in playback mode. It’s currently set to open the playback menu if an image is on the rear screen, which is the same function as the regular menu/ok button. I would like it to just ”punch in” to 100% zoom to quickly confirm focus when reviewing images. Is this possible? I believe it’s the default function on the original GFX 50s and R which I’ve had and the XT-4 and XT-5

Can anyone confirm? Any help is appreciated!

I think you're out of luck. If you look at this page from the manual, you'll notice that the joystick is not identified as a function button that can be assigned a different function.

There are more presumably just software or firmware functionalities that are missing in the 100s. Apparently Fuji's 'Kaizen' left the room a long time ago ...

Thanks for the response guys,

I was afraid this might be the case. I did see that page Rob, I was hoping maybe I misread, or there was another function available for the playback menu. Or perhaps Fuji had added functionality via firmware update, but I guess Bart is right, "kaizen" isn't a priority. Bummer as it's in several of their cameras. Strange they would force a two button solution or I have to smudge my screen to quickly check focus confirmation in playback... Oh well.

I don't have my 100S with me to confirm, but can't you check playback by pressing the rear command dial? I thought that zoomed in during playback.

It does, but if you want to look around at all, then you have to use the joystick or the touchscreen. It was easier and faster just clicking and scrolling around with the joystick on the 50s/r, or the XT series. Now it’s a two button operation, or I’m smudging up the screen, which I don’t like to use.
