Lunenburg Harbour. The Bluenose II is a replica of the original Bluenose fishing and racing schooner. The Cape Sable is a trawler, the kind of vessel that replaced the Grand Banks dory schooners over time. The Islander VI is a 'Cape Islander'-style lobster fishing boat. These particular ones are of modest proportions. At other ports (Digby, Dennis Point) one finds newer designs with radically-widened back decks for carrying more lobster traps. The last pic is of Lunenburg-style dories, still made using the same jigs from a century ago. Dory-racing is a popular sport and fitness activity locally.
