Hi guys (and the occasional girl),
pls. allow me to steal some of your precious time for a few words and a little introduction as to celebrate this special day...
while receiving the warm GetDPI-congrats for my birthday today, for which I humbly thank you, I'm also standing with my nose pushed against the window... as the postman is about to deliver something I never ever could have dreamed of: a brandnew blackpainted M9... :salute:
I've lusted for a Hasselblad, Phase One, Rollei etc. for more than two years, but after much research and a lot of thinking I decided on the unique combination of also top-notch picture quality and ultimate convenience in handling that the Leica M9 provides. My aim with this magic machine is (conceptual) fine art, portraits, street scenery and the occasional landscape(s). Wildlife I will continue to shoot with my Nikon-set (from 18mm up to 600mm) which I have not been forced to sell (yet).
It will take some time before I will be able to post the first shots though, because I dont know which second hand lense(s) would be best to start with (as I like to shoot on various focal lengths). Possibilities are a CV 28/1.9 asph., a Zeiss Planar 50/2.0, a CV Nokton 50/1.1, a Summarit 75/2 or a (Tele) Elmarit 90. That money in this case will be an issue, will be obvious...
Well, time wil tell...
Thanks for reading!
