I would guess LED lighting gear will go up in price plus development of new lights might be greatly slowed.

How can a company patent something like this? It's a clear sign that governments don't have a clue when it comes to technology - both in the patent office and courts. I guess we really don't know the details and I wonder how Lowel, Mole, and other high end companies will be impacted or effected by this.
