Hello,
I just purchased an Elinchrom Ranger RX AS (asymetrical) power pack and have a question to those that use it as well.
On the Ranger AS, if you connect the head to socket B only, should the power control range become smaller accordingly to indicate the decreased power range in that socket? Both the A and B sockets show 1.5 to 7.5 adjustment range, despite a completely different power output between them.
In comparison to the Quadra RX power packs I also own, the power setting on the A port ranges from 6.0 (full) to 2.0 (minimum). On the B port power setting ranges from 4.4 down to 0.4 on the LED display, as the B socket has different (smaller) power output.
Is this lack of change in display/adjustment values between sockets to be expected on the Ranger RX AS unit?
Many thanks,
Pat
