Body Cap Won't Come Off!!

The body cap on my Hasselblad H3d2-39 won't come off. I sure don't want to apply a crazy amount of pressure to it or hit it with a hammer. Never had this happen before. I'm looking for some suggestions on getting it off safely. If no ideas work I guess I'll bring it over to Hasselblad service in NJ.

Sometimes you get a vacuum develop under the Hasselblad caps. I've had it happen a few times. What I've done is press in the silver release button and wiggle the cap a few times. Then leave it for a while and repeat. If necessary repeat again. Usually after a few times the vacuum releases.

But in my experience it's not that something is actually jammed or broken inside.

I finally got around to trying your remedy and it worked perfectly! So simple and I never thought about it. Unfortunately, as much as I love my this camera I'm putting it up for sale and just couldn't do that until I got the body cap off. Thanks!
