RMS = Royal Microscopy Society aka "Royal Screw" 20mmMicroscope mount? What is this mounted to?
Hi KeithSorry Nex 7 folks but I'm slipping a Ricoh GX100 shot in here for Jono - then I promise to go away
Jono, this is Bennie the Bengal - see the resemblance?
Keith
Have you tried with the electronic first shutter OFF?The electronic viewfinder is not good in that environment. The camera would focus but the viewfinder goes dark before the shot is taken.
The NEX-7 is a great camera but not for studio use.
Amazing . . . Vivek . . . How many lenses do you have?RMS = Royal Microscopy Society aka "Royal Screw" 20mm
On that picture, it is sitting on top of some junk with a rear cover, unmounted.
Here, it is shown mounted on to a Hawk Peng Helicoid in E-mount (same size as the 16mm f/2.8 lens) via a Jinfinances RMS to M42 adapter. In the middle is the Olympus pen F pancake 38/2.8 and on the left is a Carl Zeiss S-Planar 32/4 (yet to be mounted in a helicoid).
Still resisting here . . . I've got the A mount f2 version . . .and the Leica f1.4 version . . . more 24's seems a little excessive
I'll be interested to see how you get on though.
Resistance is futile.... I have just ordered a Zeiss 24mm F1.8 lens for the Nex-7. hopefully this will be the lens that will do the sensor justice.
Will report back when I have the lens and have taken a few shots with it.v On the E mount it will give a slightly wide field of view, about the ideal focal length for me.

I will give that a try tonight Vivek.Have you tried with the electronic first shutter OFF?

1 and 2 hazy weather, I think, you can't calibrate that. They are lovely and splendid but not sure if they are crisp and clear (barring #3). Maybe I should get my monitor recalibrated?
