You lose OSS and $400.Pretty impressive size and weight on both. I love my 16-35/4, but part of me wonders about replacing it with the 12-24/4 which is barely larger....
Yes but you'll still have 5-axis IS (with appropriate bodies) and a wider view. I don't know that IS is as important with UWA lenses. You lose OSS and $400.
Truthfully im interested in both. The 16-35 for paying work and the 12-24 for personal stuff.
X1d. :grin:Only on the 12-24mm. The 16-35mm GM looks yummy.
Now what can I sell to finance the purchase (in August)?
Joe
Correct, which is the one I wanted, but I use filters a lot. I suppose someone will make an adaptor for it evenually like for other lenses in the past.Only on the 12-24mm. The 16-35mm GM looks yummy.

Yes, I remember him doing that!No chance in hell. The X1D is one you'll have to pry from my cold dead hands. :ROTFL: Maybe the Batis 85mm will be "on the bubble".
Or you could get Guy Mancuso to grind the fixed hood off. Ouch!
