A7RIII Firmware Update

I tried to update my A7RIII to firmware 1.01 with no success on the Mac side (new 13inch MacBook Pro). Never got beyond the hand shake. Worked like a dream on the PC side (new 8700K build).

Apparently there is an issue upgrading the fw for the A7 R III if you are running Mac OS High Sierra. See the following link for workaround:
