This is one of my first Olympus E-M5 shots where I selected a Linear Response curve under BASE CHARACTERISTICS in Capture One—rather than Auto, or Film Extra Shadow. I find the E-M5’s default highlight separation inferior to that of my [ancient] Lumix G3, but here the low- and mid-tones get pushed down, leaving almost dazzling highlights. I mostly like the look, but a lot of exposure brightening, contrast increase, and shadow recovery is required.

The tonality on this image is superb in my view, but I think it’s a bit too quietly subtle for most viewers! :eek:
