We've had bushfire smoke envelope Sydney now for a week as fires rage up and down the east coast - so not much fun to photograph as far as good light goes and pretty poor quality air to breathe...anyway here are a few snaps from GFX

Cheers

Sydney is surrounded by a ring of low mountains/tablelands - so the smoke gets trapped in the bowl - I notice a lot of people are wearing masks in the city but these are pretty useless as the lung damaging particles are smaller than the filtering capability of the typical paper mask can manage. - so no need to cover my handsome face! :ROTFL::ROTFL:Pete, we want a selfie with you and your face mask! That's crappy air quality and no suggestion it might clear anytime soon. Does it lift in the afternoon with the sea breeze or do you just get back what's gone out to sea in the morning?

Hi Carl, I see you are making good use of the splendid Tamron 90 macro, which I found surprisingly sharp (in makro, sharper than Zeiss 100/2 at least at f5.6 and 8, but colors a bit more modest/spot on in the Zeiss I think)Fruit bowl. Fuji GFX 50R with Tamron SP 90/2.8 Di Macro. Five shots focus stacked in Zerene.
