Neat and informative articles Uwe. If you could just clarify the following note in the highlight recovery article:
You cannot use these settings directly with Lightroom 3 "Edit in" -> "Merge to HDR" because in this case Photoshop will bypass these corrections to get otherwise better data directly from RAW. Create TIFF files instead and work with them.
Does this mean that in general the Merge to HDR (Pro) command ignores some of the adjustments made in Lightroom? If so are there other adjustments it is ignoring other than highlight recovery?

Uwe, thank you for your informative article. I was playing around today and created a B+W HDR image at sunset: Pinnacle Peak and Valley in Scottsdale, AZ. Sony A850, Leica 28-90mm Vario-Elmarit at around 70mm, three bracketed images. One of the originals in color is also included, as is a stiched panorama. - Christopher

Likely Basic and Curves. If no HR is needed this is a good idea by the way.
