Lloyd, One of the places I wish to visit someday. But not in the weather youSunrise Point, Bryce Canyon National Park. We were there just after sunrise last Friday morning. It was COLD!! The wind was howling, it was hard to even stand against it, and at one point I had to hand my nearly 30lb backpack from the tripod to keep it steady in the wind. At a place and time that can be crowded with photographers, we saw only 4 other hardy souls, and they all thought the wiser of it, and ran for cover shortly after arriving, leaving us alone. We stayed for an hour, and when we returned to our car it had warmed up to a balmy 3 degrees F (-16 Celsius.)
Here's a BTS shot of my ever-patient Mimi:
Nanook (aka Mimi) at Sunrise Point (note the backpack on the tripod):
mention.
The light is superb, the scenery is hugely magnificent and the photography
more so.
But guess what surpasses them all? Your lovely Mimi braving the cold to be
with you.
My warmest regards to the both of you. -16C...!!
