Ashwin.. you are into something hereThanks, Jorge! It's quite a camera, and Sony puts together a bayerless monochrome version, holy smokes...can't imagine what ISO performace would look like....strip away any remaining AA filter to boot, and wow...
Probably the advantage would be the extended ISO range..... snip
Trashing the Beyer principle would be exciting, but I wouldn't know what to expect from it except what I have seen from the Mono M? Better tonality?
Ed... then it starts to become pretty crazy I already have excellent B&W shots at ISO 12.800 and a bit above.Probably the advantage would be the extended ISO range.
I am told Snakeheads are a scourge of the Chesapeake Bay watershed, and are severely damaging to the ecosystem. I was happy to hear from this young man that his Mom made great soup from those he caught!I like your b&w treatment, RiversPhoto, pleasant mid-tones, not too contrasty.
I had no idea there were snakes so close to Washington!!
Gemer:For those who cares I've just uploaded a bundle of images shot at pretty high ISO. I am impressed with the A7S
