Finally found "the" backpack for my IQ4 and Hassy system...

Looks like a nice pack. I like that it opens from the rear.

I have a Wandrd PRVKE 21 L, which looks to be similar length and width, but not as deep. It's quite good, but has become a bit small of late for what I have to haul around this summer. So I'm back to my Ortlieb Atrack 35 L.

I'm looking at the Atlas Athlete and Mindshift 26L. Would they fit under the airplane seat?

The cost of shipping that to New Zealand is 30% of the cost of the pack!!

Maybe I’ll wait until I’m next in the USA.

Not really, overhead storage only.

Roll top and side access are just non starter for me, I just wanted a camera bag that carry equipment only, settled on Mindshift backlight 26L.

Now I have two, one for rm3di with iq4, 4 lenses, compendium, card case, rain cover; or when travelling, I reduce tech cam to 2 lenses plus a 503cw with iq160 and 100mm lens; the other bag for universalis, 6 lenses, light meter, compendium, rain cover, dark cloth and a film back.

It would be nice if the waist belts can be detached but far from a deal breaker, unlike the roll top and side access.

I just got the new NYA-EVO 50C to test (disclaimer: I am an Ambassador for NYA-EVO and the bag was sent to me for free for me to test) and love it. My 60C was great, but this one is even better: more compact, much lighter at 1.9kg (even lighter than the Compagnon at 2kg, despite 14 lt extra room), and better organised than the 60C. It requires a ICU, which I prefer (for maximum internal space modularity), has removable waist band, a computer pocket, is waterproof, carry-on size, my Arca-Swiss F-Line fits in there with 4 lenses, film bag, filters, light meter etc and is 50 euro less than the Compagnon in my local. Here's a link if interested:

As Ambassador, I have a 10% discount code, PM me if interested. Hope this helps! Best regards,

Vieri

I too like the NYA-EVO bags - lightweight and well designed in terms of pockets, storage and the ICU's. Have the small Fjord 26 for Nikon gear and the Fjord 36 for Cambo WRS-1600/CFV100C and 2 lenses.

I don't use my backpacks as much as I might, but I absolutely love the Shimado. One of the best pieces of camera-related equipment I've ever used.https://shimodadesigns.com/home/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwxsm3BhDrARIsAMtVz6OroswoC1whIB2Ea6fGPF_LHU6LDedN64KR1UIV65XqTSwVbNXA40UaAvsxEALw_wcB&irclickid=Ug-ydHyO4xyKWQJTggRsvwgWUkCyo4Sn0RjpXU0&irgwc=1&utm_source=impact&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=2503872&utm_content=644858

I want to thank the original poster. A while back, I purchased the 18L Element sling (not backpack) for my Hasselblad lens and gear. What a perfect solution. Well made too and looks good. Thanks!
