Thanks, Lloyd! The Sonnar is a lens from the Gods!Nice, Michael. Especially the cupid shot. Love how that Sonnar renders.
Thanks, Ashwin! Loving your Solstice shots. Goth cuties never get old.Amazing capture here!!!!
Indeed, being so close to the beach has its benefits! Makes the commute worthwhile, and is a great way to blow off a lunch hour. I need to find a new haunt though (and I have been branching out).Michael you are a lucky man with the beautiful location a couple of blocks away from work! Wonderful shots as usual!
Thanks for the kind words Michael, they are appreciated. Yes, the CV 75/1.8 and 50/2 Cron had to leave to make room for the 75/2. (. . . . . and I still hope to sell a couple of more lens to cover the new arrival)
btw, I have not heard of a 'pissing cupid' before, does it have another name?
. . . . . and it is a beautiful shot of a 'pissing cupid'!
I've had the same experience. Much more convenient, size-wise, and no one paid any attention to me at all. Thanks LLoyd, it was my first time on a trip without my DSLR, just the M8 plus a small pocket TZ10, quite liberating! The great thing was that nobody played the blindest bit of notice of me with the M8.
Another winner. Wonderful color.A Symi afternoon.
Very nice, Michael. I especially like these two. I enjoyed the entire gallery. So were you in costume like the other photogs? From the 2011 Coney Island Mermaid Parade... (All 100 shots)
Shot with the M9 and 1,1/50 Nokton. Wanna learn to speed focus? Shoot a parade at f/4! (though my goal was closer to f/1.7)
Thanks, Lloyd! Yes, these two are among my favorites also. I know one of those 100 is going up on my wall... Just not sure which yet.Very nice, Michael. I especially like these two. I enjoyed the entire gallery. So were you in costume like the other photogs?
Mostly the Zeiss 18mm Distagon, but I also used the small 28mm Elmarit ASPH quite a lot. The harbour shot was taken with a CV 35 Skopar Classic. What lens did you use? These are beautiful.
Thanks for posting the lens info. Very interesting.Mostly the Zeiss 18mm Distagon, but I also used the small 28mm Elmarit ASPH quite a lot. The harbour shot was taken with a CV 35 Skopar Classic.
I carried the 50 Cron and CV 75 Heliar but used them only a couple of times on the trip.
Mono conversion was done in Aperture, quite a lot of orange filtering to give the effect I wanted. The colour shot was also adjusted a bit in Aperture to make it slightly more monochromatic, again to get the effect I desired rather than be entirely accurate.
Thanks for all the nice comments, much appreciated. I'm always a bit nervous about posting my shots and I know I should also comment on the work of others in this thread, but often am totally in awe of the art here and am not able to add much besides wow! It does inspire me to try harder, many thanks.
Love these, Robert. My fully healthy 7 year old daughter playing a game of chess with my 71 year old dad
Happy fathers day
Pretty interesting sculpture. Nice b/w conversion.
No that's American Heavy Metal!! Love that shot! Beautifully processed.
