I agree. They have this childish lettering also on their most expensive fast lenses. Aesthetics are important. I always found that their weak point with their digital cameras till this one.

Lookbook, superb portrait, with a background which has a quality that puts me in mind of a beautiful Richard Hamilton painting.

Hi Michiel
How are your expiriences with the Zf so far, and how about manual lenses-use. Do you use "autofocus"-adapter for the manual?
Quality? Quality with the different lenses?
Subjective feeling / enjolyment?
And so on... 🙂

I have no autofocus adapters yet, only manual ones. I wished it had some more megapixels because I am a bit spoiled with the 61 megapixel files from the fp L and the GFX 100 but I can say the files don´t disapoint. Batterylife is very good though compared with those two cameras. I don't need to buy a spare one, that's exceptional.
I don´t like the very thin level lines in the viewfinder but that´s probably for most not very important. I love the camera body and the manual ISO dial on top.
I felt right at home with the camera. probably has something to do wit my age. ;) I will not buy any zooms for the time being and stick with small primes.
May be later the Voigtländer 50 APO. It has internal contacts for the Z mount and it seems that it makes manual focussing a breeze.
Till now I only used a Leica cron on it and manual focussing is not hard with magnification. But then I am not in a hurry, of course not suitable for running kids.
I still have (to) many manual lenses to try out. That will be later because going out these days is mot exactly fun. Gray days and rain.
The Neewer grip has a nice design and is perfect for my hands amd i like that you can screw on an arca swiss plate on it for vertical shooting.

Thank you for your answer. And nice picture
This morning, before your answer, my emotions detached my brain, and I ordered the Zf + the grip, and collected it some 5 hours ago in Frederikssund
Ordered a Leica Elmarit 24/2.8 too, while I remembered Erwin Puts very nice words about that lens, so its on its way from Stockholm.
And an autofocus adapter from Techart is also on its way from Hong Kong.
I traded in my gear for a X2D, but its unpacked, while I sold my house, and shall be out 1. January 25, so in a hurry. But a nice thing to be waiting for.
In my mind I had decided to stay simple and just hang around with the X2D, the Z7 and the GRIII.
But then you posted your pictures of the Zf, and the emotions spoiled the clear part of my brain, and off the orders went.
My happiest cameratimes were with the GR and further back with the M6 with a 21 Elmarit glued on, but Erwin thought a 24 Elmarit is way better, I remember, so I follow his words.
So that one is an old dream.
Nikon has always been my very very loyal workhorse, you can't go wrong with a Nikon. The fc didn't deliver the M feeling. Now the Zf deliver the visions of the M6, though a bit bigger.
Until the Elmarit arrives, I just bought the small Z 28/2.8.

Don´t blame me if you don´t like it :unsure: i don´t think so because it is truely a lovely camera and friendly to your harddrfives.
