I don't have anything between 21 and 45. Seems worth a try at that price.

MTF chart only shows one focus distance, and doesn't say how far it is. If it's MFD, the plots are good. If it's infinity, not so much. We'll see....

Looks like it is at infinity setting. So, not as good as the 45P (and others)....but looks alike the 55V, which is not that bad, after all !!

New products arrive when they arrive. I have no expectations. The 90/2.5 isn't late. It simply doesn't exist yet.

Hey at least this P lens has a lens hood (included with purchase).

The 45-P has always been a favorite of mine.

There is also new firmware available today for the X2D (2.0.1) and 38V/55V/28P (1.4.1) which is said to improve focusing speed.

It's nice to see new lenses.
It's a slow compact lens, but if the X1D-50c II has such a good high ISO that it's not that relevant, compactness is more important for this design.
side note: it's beautiful, I love the new design language.
