Is this Fall 2024 Roid Week?

If I can find a proper camera, I would enjoy trying some instant film for Roid week.

Is anyone else participating?😇

Oops, I see I posted in the Leica forum. My mistake. I’m exhausted…I meant to post this in the analog forum. Hopefully, a moderator will remove this thread.(?)🙄 My apologies.

Anyway, ‘Roid’ week is Polaroid week, or simply instant film photos week. My neighbor down the street has a Mamiya RZ67 and supposedly has a Polaroid back coming that accepts instant film. News to me.🤷🏼‍♂️

It would be fun to get some crazy artsy images with a MF camera, but I did not know if that was even possible.

I am however, shooting with the Leica S 006 more this month and I will be working hard next week on processing some images. This time of year is a good time in our garden because the light is softer and rather special compared to the awful summer light.

I just need a jump start!😮

Perhaps something wild and out of the ordinary is what I need.

Ok, thanks. I have a strange ROID knock-off for my Hasselblads. It is a NONS made for fitment to Hassys. It takes Fuji Instax square film. I have both B&W and color. I much prefer B&W myself. Can't remember, but I think I got it on Amazon. It has a rechargeable battery.

Now that sounds like the way I need to go!

Flickr is the place that has been doing Roid week all these years. I think it actually starts tomorrow. I need to check on that but I’m on the road until then.

I really need to look into another 503 Hassy and a film back like yours!😎

Hi, Lou, it’s actually an online happening twice a year. Spring and Fall.

I was gifted a Leica Sofort 2 and I’ve been playing around with it and it has been fun. But since I’m not on Flickr, I can’t participate but I do like to see what other creative types are doing with instant film.

So far, I have a collection of almost 60 prints and a lot more images saved on the mini-SD card. I’m impressed with what the Sofort 2 is capable of doing and I’m still trying to figure out how instant film fits in other than as a fun novelty. I have a few ideas though,

But I’m just now getting back into a long period of developing my own black and white film. After a 16-month hiatus of sorts, I wasn’t sure I could remember how to do it! Thankfully, it was easier to get back to developing my own film than I thought it would be and it will take a long time to work through my backlog. Scanning will be another matter altogether.

Hope all is well on your end, just waiting for some freezing rain here…😳

Just now getting my mind together on the instant film thing…, it’s no secret I miss my Hasselblad 503cxi. I never got a chance to do creative things like a Polaroid back or even a digital back. Sounds interesting!

Is this what you have?

I think I would love to try one of these if and when I do get another Hassy.👍👍👍

Thanks for the reference!
