Details of a wall hanging my wife received in Japan on her last trip with the Anchorage Tomodachi Daiko taiko drumming group. Shot with the 50R and a Hasselblad Zeiss 80mm f2.8 CFE lens. I thought this would be a good test re moire and capturing fine details in the silk like fabric.

Bowsprit and Figurehead, USCG Barque "Eagle." The "Eagle" is the former Nazi training ship "Horst Wessel," captured by the British in April, 1945. Subsequently won by the United States in a drawing of lots among the Soviet, British and American navies. New London, Connecticut, is her home port, where this photo was made.
