Can one finally factory upgrade? Any news on this?

Now they need to release the XT XL with shift ways of 18-20mm and a 70 HR tilt option and the system is a lot better. XC as standalone for X-Mas wouldn't hurt either.

IQ5 roadmap announcement to finish it off.

Would be a shame if you cannot upgrade existing lenses. The price difference on list price basis is a grand roundabout, so maybe 2k for an upgrade trip.

Just heard factory upgrade options are coming by end of next month.

That's good news for the evolution of the platform and a good sign.
