Indeed very sad. I only went once (2016) and it was fun looking at all the equipment, both the mainstream brands as well as the small companies and start-ups presenting new innovative products.
But the real highlight for me were the very diverse exhibitions, they alone made the visit worthwhile

I had the opportunity to attend Photokina just once, about 35 years ago, and unfortunately could not make it due to other commitments. I've always wanted to fix that lack; it looks like the opportunity may no longer ever recur. Sigh.
Changing times. Luckily, we have other ways to come together now beyond these big trade shows.
