Thanks Steve. Interestingly enough, that's not the sun. It was a street light. That was a 12 sec exposure in the dark.Really nice the way you framed this with the trees and lead the eye back to the fog/sun.
Welcome Adam. Looking forward to much more. BTw, looks like they were all proud to appear in one of your photos, eh?happy new year!

Yup, what Cindy said... on both counts. :thumbs:Kurt, I love the Polar Bear club shot! Crazy Wisconsinites!
Leif, Your winter scenes are all very beautiful.
Also, very nice. Thanks for posting. Cheers. Thanks guys. I'm really enjoying my M9. Here's another from the same evening:
Steve: Really beautiful B & W. What did you use for the B & W conversion? Cheers. One from Zion - M9 and wate. I'd been shooting with the tripod all morning, but didn't have time to set it up for this one - the sun was over the ridge in what seemed like a flash.
Nice photo. That lens is really sweet on the M9. Did you participate? Cheers. Each year, in the city of Milwaukee, thousands show up on lakefront to celebrate the first day of the new year with a swim in icy Lake Michigan. The air temperature for this year's swim was 15F ... while the water temperature was a balmy 34F.
Here's one from the plunge.
M9 and 75lux.
Lloyd: I haven't noticed any effects. They were on for the M8, and, I just left them on to protect the lenses (always have a UV filter on lenses). Not sure they're needed for IR. I've read conflicting assessments regarding their need. I'll wait and see. Right now the 75mm f/2 has only a UV filter. Cheers,Matt,
You mentioned you've left your UV/IR filters on with the M9. Is that because you were seeing some IR effects, or just to protect the lenses?
Amazing images. Really great stuff. Looking forward to more!! Happy New Year to you as well. Here are a few shots with the M9 :
