Tripod question

Wayne thanks for the link. I did a search and did not see that thread. I am thinking i will keep my Gitz 1548 and then get the series 3

The safety plate for the Gitzo 3 and 5 series is a worthwhile investment.

Also available at B&H, where I got mine for the Gitzo 5541LS. (The plates are specific to the 3 or 5 series).

I use the 3540XLS as well. Could not be happier and I have tried a lot of things. I have been at the point of having to choose between the 55 and the 35 as well. The lower weight of the the 35 eventually was most important to me.

I use it with H2/CF up to the 300/4.5 but also with my 35mm rig.

I have opted for the Burszynski head which is, IMO, the best ballhead money can buy.

I am now pondering over a cube for other applications.
