Sorry for delay. Both the incidents I described were on the TF21 and TF38 around del Teide.Mike, where in Tenerife did this happen?
Feels so strange to hear these kinds of things happening. Been to Tenerife twice and several times elsewhere in Spain and no problems with criminals what so ever. Guess I've just been lucky.
Anyway, sorry to hear about your bad luck. Hope some freak of nature happens and the ba**ards get caught!
After all, Noctilux is not something that would be easy to "fence" in canary islands.
I guess they're stalking for cars when ppl are sightseeing.. that's horrible. We visited Teide both times when we were in Tenerife. But now that I think of it, we were weren't in situations where this could have happened. Only time we left the car alone was by the cable car and then we had the valuables (cameras) with us.Sorry for delay. Both the incidents I described were on the TF21 and TF38 around del Tide.
Congratulations on finding it Bart - and in London as well - here's hoping you get it back Mike - I'm really really sorry for your loss.Mike, this is your lens !!!

Hi There ScottReturning to the theme of "Where's Jono?" as a means of communication with him for those who can't bear Facebook --
Jono, I get a sense that you have returned to the rangefinder M's for any walking about sorts of picture-taking, reserving the massive SL with its AF for events, weddings, dogshows, pink lady stuff and all that. Is that right? Is your M mode of operation one M one lens for the day?
scott
2 weeks ago I was considering selling my SL system. But last week I shot a sports even of the kids with the 90-280, I also took some movies, plus some shots with the Nocti 1.0 (which I dont seem to focus accurate on the M)...and came to the clear conclusion that I will keep the SL.Hi There Scott
Sorry not to be in more constant attendance (and especially to Mike Woods for not seeing his anguish). . .
I guess the truth is the I do tend to use the SL for the pink lady stuff (no weddings at the moment!) But for people shots generally I'd prefer to use the M, and for walking about with the dogs I'm pretty agnostic, some days I'll take an M, other days I fancy something with close focus and a zoom (either the SL or the OMD).
Well found! I hope it gets reunited with Mike Woods.Mike, this is your lens !!!
