Thanks, those are my daughters. The little one (with mom's mascara) is Sofia and the older (behind the curtain) is Alexandra.

Some nice images here. I'm liking that tent in Bahrain with the shoes on the mat and the view barely visible behind the curtain. Any other shots of that scene? Cindy Flood's Noctilux portrait was pretty amazing as well.

    Beautiful daughters Hank!

I have a few shots of the inside of the tent on my flickr page i 've linked a black and white one below, but the ladies inside the tent are a bit camera shy for the internet so haven't posted those !

My new 75 lux arrived yesterday and I immediately took a few shots at my work station of my favorite test subject. This is Woody under a 40 watt desk lamp at f2 (or was it 1.8?). In this case, skin tones that appear a bit "plastic" is ok. I love having a lens that lets me get closer with the M8. I look forward to shooting some "real" subjects.

Great test subject. Enjoy the lens....I didn't realize how spoiled we were with the lenses available for the M8 until my Nikon diversion. It isn't only fast it is also the silky smooth focussing and build quality.

Re: More and more fun with M8 images

Thanks Guy. And I agree it could stand a little darkening in the non-bloom areas. I was being lazy this morning with my burning-in techniques and focussed on the flowers. I'll play with it some more and then post the result in my gallery so as not to clutter this thread with the same image endlessly.

    Cheers!
    Tim

Well now. This is one of those images that could be manipulated all over. It doesn't take long to make it into something very different. Gain something and lose something. But, FWIW, here's another take on it.

Wow JAAPV, your Two Tress image strikes me. I don't know what it is, but I know I like it.

Irakly, your images always force me to step in and look around (if that makes any sense). I don't understand many of them, but they do cause me to look at them intently to see what I am missing. I think one of my favorite photos I saw you post somewhere was a retro (50's-60's) theme of a very attractive lady in front of a stove with a dog or something in the foreground.

it seems that i should explain... the loser is my agent adam, and the opposing force is his wife. this is my idea of their family portrait. yesterday they had a huge party, and we had to wait until three o'clock in the morning to get some privacy as guests absolutely did not want to go home.

Guy- Did you depart from the 90AA and return again? Was there a summarit on the side? I ask as I have a very fine 90 elmarit, but am about to buy, from Kurt, a chrome 90 AA. Your thoughts would be appreciated. best...Peter

Re: More and more fun with M8 images

Damn I love them both. The 90 apo is extremely nice and crisp wide open and a great lens. The 90 elmarit 2.8 is very nice indeed but the 90 apo will beat in resolving power and micro detail. I sold my 90 summarit and now have a 75 cron as my longest Leica. Sadly my M8 kit has gotten smaller due to MF kit being purchased and it may not end there. I may have to sell a few more lenses to get another DB
