6-bit code for APO Telyt 135mm

Did anybody figure out if a 6-bit code exists for the APO Telyt 135mm f/3.4 lens? The only reason I would like the 6-bit code for is to have the focal length recorded in exif. I also hate doing the manual entry on M9 as I am lazy. It seems the lens never came with any 6-bit code from Leica. And search on the internet didn't got me anywhere.

The code for 135mm Elmarit would have worked as a stop gap, but that one needs a 28/90 frameline. Bummer!

There is no 6 bit code for the 135 Apo T and Leica have said there will not be. I have one I coded as a 135 Elmarit before I remembered that it is a "goggle" lens which, as you say, brings up the wrong frame lines.

I just accept that any EXIF data that shows no lens must be the 135 Apo T. There is no need to code it anyway.

A great lens!

Fair enough. But I cannot figure out why Leica decided not to assign a 6-bit to this particular lens? What did they have to lose?
