Every year around this time, the people of Bang Plee celebrate the Rap Bua festival. According to the legend, a Buddha image came floating down the river and was brought to a temple in Bang Plee. On the last day of this three day festival, a Golden Buddha is towed on the canal, while people throw lotus flowers, almost covering the statue. In addition, there's a parade, fairs, competitions and lots of life.
