Re: Fun With Sony _____

The little RX100/3 is still a lovely camera. Sufficient unto the day someone squeezes a full frame sensor into a camera of similar size.
Yes - I have had some similar thoughts... for instance, the Olympus XA was a full-frame 35mm film camera (I still have one), in a camera body of *approximately* the same size as the RX100.

Ok - single focal length only (with its rather clever "Reverse Retro-focus" 35mm lens) but just imagine an XA clam-shell body, with a full-frame sensor placed in the film pressure plate location. The film canister compartment + the film take-up spool compartment could hold the electronics. Of course, I have no specialist knowledge on such a design, but I'd like to think that this might be (technically, at least) feasible.

I'd be prepared to pay some serious money for this camera, if done properly...!!;)

Utrecht courthouse.
Apparently they ran out of real "criminals" so they make do with some props :salute:

Without doubt my favourite of yours. Beautiful light. Like a beautiful painting.

@Christina, Barry, Graham, Alan: I like your recent shots very much. Barry for the scenery, Graham for the processing, Alans for the nice tones and Christina for the personality.

Two more from the beautiful country I was in december.

From a "real" winter here, about 4 years ago

Frozen "Hofvijver" in The Hague, in the background the Dutch Parliamentary offices as well as (on the left) the office of the Prime Minister.
