Fantastic, thanks for sharing this here! Congratulations to @Ed Hurst for this very well deserved recognition. And I knew that I'd recognize which of the many enticing images was Ed's without looking at the credits, based on his unique style and composition. Bravo!

Thank you so much everyone for your kind thoughts. And, of course, Will for starting this thread. You guys are the best!

I've been entering this competition for quite a few years now, generally feeling that my take on astrophotography didn't have much chance of winning but just going along for the ride (and loving all the amazing deep space images produced by other entrants). So, imagine my satisfaction when the 2024 competition had a category called "Working with Light in the Night," which is perfect for what I do!
