Yup, many didn't care. But it did seem to have been a Canon best seller in the era they still keep DSLR. What surprise she is the last one of them - the M6II actually has a much improved sensor and I am not referring to just megapixels.

M6 mk2 is one of my favorite cameras. Best spatial resolution of any camera I own. Bought another one recently. Will probably buy a 3rd.

Been trying one. Yes, the resolution is there if yo get the right lens at the right aperture. What surprised me is that not only Canon improve the resolution but also the iso (no banding!), dynamic range, color sensitivity while increasing the resolution. Not what I expected!

I agree, the sensor is a huge improvement for Canon. They struggled for years to catch up. As to the lack of dynamic range, for APS-C the M6 mk2 is very good. I've also made excellent photos with my Leica Typ006 and Sony α850 both of which have half a stop less DR than the M6. I use my best and sharpest lenses on the M6, it can adapt almost all of them, and the images are sharper more detailed than any other camera I have, as long as I get the focus right. ;)

IMO dx-format is "overseen" by many. In the end its a great compromise between size/price and IQ.
The same with Leica Cl (eventhough TL lenses are price pretty high).
