Steve, when I have problems autofocusing the A7RII I with to Focus Peak. Works great, I use the Mid + Yellow. Try it!To be honest, the A7rII is a bear to drive in this weather.. AF picks up flurrying snow in the air & misses focus on subject / EVF ices up and isn't useable / LCD works but hard to judge manual focus..
A larger EVF cup or LCD hood would have been useful..

A7r2 plus Metabones v. IV plus Canon EF 70-200mm F4 @ 127mm F11 ISO 80 and 1/160 sec. (Mad settings I know, but I rushed not to miss it and the body was still set for the TSE 24mm on tripod..
