Ray, maybe it is just the lens. My X Pro2 is not converted. I mostly use the 23mm f/2 and sometimes the 14mm f/2.8. Under certain situations, the 23mm shows a hot spot, but nothing like your--impressive!So no more fiddling with IR-filters on this camera. Next step will be a new IR-converted camera. That works so much better!
Maybe a X-Pro 2 since I already have a bunch of lenses. But I must investigate how the different lenses behaves in infrared.
