We lost all of the grand old elms that dominated Stewart Park in the past and more recently the huge ash trees have also been lost to another scourge. Now we are left with a few old willows along the lake shore that have survived the more frequent damaging storms and some towering old sycamores in the park interior. This is one of the old grandmother button ball trees still reaching for the blue skies.

Just noticed a fairly large raptor perched up near the top right quadrant of the tree. Squared off tail, but can't tell what species it might be.
