Leica M11 – SX24

Inspired by the whole discussion around geometry and perspective I decided to try my 24mm again for city shots. I always found it borderline to go below 28mm for outside architecture, but actually it is enjoyable to try to use the 24 in a controlled manner with focus on pleasing dimensions. I find central perspectives are the most pleasing the wider you go.

The white house alley pic above is what I always had the 24mm in memory – quite wide, but then again very nice if you hit it right.

Its like a tricky focal length with outsized positive impact if you find the right subject.
