Two notes on interest … (at least to me)
#1. Got a Visit by my friendly FedEx guy yesterday afternoon. My new Cambo RS with 35mm lens and Phase One P45+ back arrived from Capture Integration. Put everything together and it’s now sitting on top of my tripod just waiting for a couple test shots (okay I’ll admit to doing a couple late yesterday). I’ve got to admit that I like this kit very much and looking forward to our trip in December to really put it to use in the South Rim and Death Valley.
#2. And on another note … I was a Senior Special Agent for the Federal Aviation Administration’s office of Civil Aviation Security till shortly before I retired in 2003. I’ve spent the majority of my adulthood shunning the press and everything they represent. So here I am about to sit down tomorrow morning with a reporter of a monthly newspaper (The Nugget) about to be interviewed regarding Iron Creek Photography. I’m currently experiencing an entire range of emotions ranging from stunned to excited; I need to remove “no comment” from my vocabulary.
Side note:
I’ve had several messages from folks on my Mamiya 28mm and my decision to take it off the market. First off thanks for the support and secondly for those who offered to buy it. At this point I’m still uncertain as to the sale. I’ve got two trips planned, one in December (going to the So Rim then Death Valley) and a second in late January (Northern CA to do some coastal shots as well as the Redwoods with a stop at Carmel). I should will know what I want to do with the lens after the January trip so please be patient and stay turned, the last thing I want to have is sellers’ remorse.
I’ll be posting some images taken with the new kit shortly
