Good morning
I had a fantastic morning out with Aisana yesterday. We started out at an old derelict building and ended up at the pool at her condo.
My rig up was two Profoto B1 heads with a Octabox and a zoom head H6D100c with HC100 and HC150n........the pool shots were without the lighting as to be honest I just couldn't be bothered lugging all that gear up to the 33rd floor of her condo.
The first picture in the pool is pretty much right out of the camera with just an Auto Correction in ACR and living also in ACR........Plus I added a drop shadow border and my signature.
The second picture was also auto corrected in ACR and I added some vinaigrette.......thats it thats all I did

What do you guys think, I have watched YouTube videos of basically spending hours in Photoshop to manipulate images but personally I think they all look manipulated.........also its nice to get it correct in camera saving on PP time

The drawbridge over the Sacramento River in Rio Vista, CA. This morning's sunrise. Fog is common around here in the winter, but the depth and thickness of the ground fog was a bit surprising.

Neil, thanks for sharing the full-size pictures. In the full-size file of the lower of the two pictures you've posted here, I'm afraid there are pretty obvious moiré patterns in the dress. On my screen they start to be visible at around 40% magnification.

My thoughts, since this is “fun with....” thread, is that if you’re soliciting critiques/opinions maybe start a new thread?

There’s already one comment about moire upon zoom on of the full size images which I feel is in line with your solicitation, however I feel it detracts from the nature of the thread. Just my two cents and my opinion, others may feel differently. Comments such as this/constructive criticism on your work may dissuade others from posting their own work.

Maybe start a “critique my work” thread if there’s not one already out there?

Glad you’re enjoying your new H6D!

Hello Oren
I had to google what Moire was and I see that there is a slider in Phocus that will take care of it. I have redone the image and posted it back on my website............Thanks for the feedback

Hi Todd
Just for future posts. If I am looking for critique then I should start a new thread asking for that critique, if I just want to post then here is the place to post..........Is that correct.

I am more than happy to get feedback especially as I am trying to learn Phocus and getting the feedback from Oren was very helpful for me.
Adding my signature in Phocus would be fantastic (If there is a way to do that in Phocus) as its a PITA having to export out of Phocus into PScc just to add my signature

Thanks

Neil

Todd: profuse apologies if that was disruptive - if the consensus here is that this sort of back and forth belongs in a different thread or privately I will of course gladly adhere to that.

Such a shame that this industrial architecture isn't looked after more, it just becomes a dump site.

Evening!

Something a little different for me, it's not all bombs here!

This is a town called Dong Hoi on the coast of Vietnam, it has this enormous suspension bridge across the river, bright multi-coloured lighting and it is visible for miles. I decided last weekend to go take a look at it, only to find the bridge goes nowhere, the road just disappears in to a dirt track and a tiny village! I spent an hour in the centre of this huge wide bridge and saw 2 motorbikes the whole time, completely surreal!

Anyway, tried to mess around with shapes and felt like it should be black and white.
