The right photo is what some models put on their comp cards, the left is what they look like in person.
The photographers challenge is to make the model look like the comp card.
The advantage of MF is that there is just soo much more detail available. In a process similar to "where is Waldo" in retouch you search through all those Megapixels of MF image to look for the three pores that can be cloned into a whole new person.
The next version of Photoshop might include a feature where all you need is a drop of blood or a bit of hair which it would sample, perform a dna analysis and auto-clone you a brand new fresh model. This post probably belongs in the image processing forum but it came to mind as part of this thread.
