Well, it is time to reboot and see if I can clear up some of the fog of rehabilitation. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The re-entry into photography is more difficult than I expected and time seems to have no meaning. So, I am re-organizing and restocking chemistry for my BW film developing. Many exposed rolls of film are languishing in my desk. The M2 has been somewhat busy as well of course.

The Leica S 006 has been exercised this past year and I ave only a vague memory of the images needing processing. There are many!

So I will back up a bit to post a few from the past just to recharge my mind and inspire myself.

From 2019

Wrapped Queen Elizabeth Bud by Leica S 2022.jpegPerhaps my mind is recovering some clarity with the bitter cold weather raging outside lately. I was looking at some images from our garden patio (2022) and I recall every single photograph, including not only the weather but the circumstances of life at the exact moment. It was refreshing to see them but I still have not opened any image files from 2023-2024. (I am still not ready for that.)

I am looking forward to warmer weather and these simple images from our patio in late Spring a couple of years ago remind me of the beauty in life and why I bothered to shoot these images. They remind me that beauty and life are fragile and fleeting. At least I have captured a few moments that make me smile briefly at the simple things in life. Those moments are now gone forever.

Spring is here. 🙂

The usual marathon of using the Leica S 006 to capture the flowers of Spring has already begun. I have been shooting a lot lately but I have a huge backlog of unprocessed digital images.

However, I started with several images today from 2024.

This Spring I am hoping to get some new images of humming birds. It has been awhile. I am wondering if I have learned anything since the last time… or have I forgotten?😮

This is the last image I made with the Leica S. I did not have a feeder the past few years.

Today I bought a new, different looking feeder, filled it with nectar and now I wait!😂

Spring is here. The Canada Geese are very vocal in the early mornings. 🙂

I like dark shadows. Shadows are supposed to be dark!
That’s what I was thinking! It was dark… I was hoping for a windy day for some long exposures after sunrise, but I was really there for a completely different reason. To watch a video of the piper playing the bagpipes the day before on my bride’s birthday.

It was spiritual, listening to the bagpipes in complete solitude as the dark shadows surrounding me were accompanied by the sound of geese taking flight across the water. Nature at its best for these parts.

The next time I am in the mountains, I may do something similar on a mountain top. There is something about bagpipes that resonates with me. 🤗
