I was struck by the white bark on the roots peeping above the ground
In Dutch "een wit voetje halen" (=literally translated "get a white feet") means desperately trying to please someone to get a favour. I don't know for whom this tree is doing that, maybe the lumberjack?
And this tree had a heart failure before being taken down by the lumberjack

I use a Phase One XF IQ4 150 camera, lenses include the Schneider Blue Ring 35,45,55,80,110,150 2.8, 240. I have the Arca Swiss D4 and use the acratech nodal rail.
