Love going for a hike to the mountains when it gets really hot here in Vegas . On a trail at Mt Charelston (Mary Jane fall) All these trees had fallen down creating interesting shapes

Prefer the second one as there is a lot of detail in the pict ...the colors add depth to the image

I don't mind at all, Alan ... I checked the original, and, to my surprise, the picture is not sharp, which may well be the origin of the strange looking colours ...
I was shooting handheld, and the picture shows vertical motion blur ...
This is a crop ...
