One of my clients who builds luxury yachts has had problems with pigeons dropping their "bombs" all over his shipyard, including on yachts and customers. After many attempts to get rid of the pests, he hired a man with three hawks (Harris's hawks I believe), and after a few visits, the pigeons are gone. Use nature to solve natural problems.

Yesterday, we had torrential rains again during daytime, but, fortunately, in the evening, the sky cleared up nicely, and I was able to go out to shoot the Perseid meteor shower from our backyard ...

I shot 250 15sec shots with the 12-40/2.8 Oly lens and found 4 or 5 (for the attentive observers) having a meteor in them ...
Combined those 5 in Gimp, and this came out after some editing in C1 v22 ...

stay safe,
Rafael

I was enjoying a cappuccino at a small outdoor café yesterday morning when I noticed some butterflies feeding on flowers next to my table. Although I'm in no way a nature photographer, I wondered if my ever present Panasonic 100-300 mm lens could be used for butterflies. Apparently it can.

Live Composite mode in full daylight, to capture the moving clouds 12-40mm/f2.8
The first test shot showed me that the varND filter does not work well with wide-angle lenses ... there is to much variation in the darkening to be corrected in post ...
This shot was at f=25mm / ISO 64 / 5sec / f22 and variable ND at max darkening

Stay safe,
Rafael
